    To motivate the improvement and development of minimally invasive surgery of orthopaedics in China, minimally invasive spine surgery association, one of the branches under the Chinese Medical Association, was established in 2003. The minimally invasive orthopedic meeting is exclusively held in COA each year. With the support of the association and the mutual efforts of committee members, the minimally invasive orthopedic techniques have been burgeoning in mainland China.
