摘要: Metabonomics is a new scientific discipline, which systematically and quantitatively analyzes the global metabonome in an organism to uncover the nature of metabolic activity. Different from the genomics and proteomics, metabonomics has distinctive research methods and analysis platform, which analyzes the metabolic cycle of the disease from the point of view of metabolomic to reveal the essence of the disease. Metabonomics progresses in the diagnosis and treatment of many diseases in recent years. Especially, a large number of researches on tumors of various systems using metabonomics in recent years show that metabonomics has the superiority in the early diagnosis, differential diagnosis, therapy assessment and the formulation of the individualized treatment programs of tumors. Different from the genomics and proteomics, another advantage exists in the metabonomics that the metabonomics is more easily to be applied in the clinical diagnosis and treatment process. In this process, there are fewer steps in the extraction and the analysis of metabolites, but the metabonomics can get more precise results and take a more intuitive response of the diseases, reflecting higher clinical value. Osteosarcoma is concerned as typical in the malignant bone tumor. Osteosarcoma has the characteristics of hypo-aged onset, late diagnosis, high degree of malignancy, extensive metastatic site and poor long-term prognosis. There is no breakthrough in the progress of the early diagnosis and treatment of the osteosarcoma recently. Now the neoadjuvant chemotherapy is used in a wide range, and it makes the prognosis of the patient of osteosarcoma improved to a certain extent, however, the overall effect of the osteosarcoma treatment is still not satisfactory. One important breakthrough of the treatment of osteosarcoma is how to make an early diagnosis and how to make the standardized treatment according to the disease. Compared to the genomics and proteomics, metabonomics has the unique superiority and value of clinical application for the early diagnosis, differential diagnosis and assessment of treatment. This paper reviewed the overall status, research methods of metabonomics and the application prospects in the diagnosis and treatment of osteosarcoma.
